Our sense of orientation
on this day was not the
straightest one, probably
amazed by the surronding
nature. We wanted to cross
the Croatian border so we
turned west where we thought
was the best, fastest way.
Only after 15 km we became
aware, because we were not
yet on the border crossing,
that we where wrong, so
we turned back and made
30 km before breakfast just
for fun. Into Croatia we
drove over Delnice, a 12
km climb on a very used
traffic road. In order to
go around the strongly driven
road, we drove on smaller
roads. The nature was incredibly
beautifully, the forest
was just like northern europe,
humid, larg pine trees and
many birds and small animals
- on the national park Risnjak.
We did not stop for long
time, since we wanted to
reach the sea before the
night fall. We drove most
of the time uphill, which
was very hard for a full-packed
bike. Only a few kilometer
before the sea it went downhill.
We drove over the Krk -
bridge and with the company
of a huge caravan of cars
we reached finally the city
Krk, where we stayed overnight
at the beach.
